Rootin’ Tuten Ragdolls Cattery
Health Agreement
This kitten has been registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). Transfer of Registration with TICA is not necessary for pet kittens but should the buyer elect to do so, fees will be at buyer’s expense.
TERMS OF SALE
By signing this Agreement, Buyer and Seller agree to the following:
This cat/kitten is healthy to the best of Seller’s knowledge and is free from internal and external parasites. Please keep in mind that young kittens may show signs of stress when brought into a new environment which may include sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, diarrhea or constipation. These should resolve within a few days.
This kitten has a one year guarantee against lethal genetic or congenital defects. If a lethal genetic or congenital defect presents itself within one year from the date of birth, seller shall replace kitten (less shipping charges, if applicable) upon being provided an autopsy report (at buyer’s expense) from a licensed veterinarian stating the unquestionable genetic or congenital defect. No vet bills will be reimbursed by Seller. The kitten will be replaced with a kitten of breeder’s choosing with the spring litters. The same sex and color/pattern will be substituted whenever possible, but is not guaranteed.
Upon receipt of kitten, Buyer has 3 business days to have a complete examination performed by a licensed veterinarian of their choosing. The kitten(s) must be kept secluded from all other pets until after examination. The one year health guarantee is void if Buyer fails to have a complete examination performed within 3 day. Upon examination, if the kitten is found to have any life threatening illness or congenital defect, Buyer must immediately notify Seller and provide Seller with a written statement from a licensed veterinarian stating the unquestionable illness or congenital defect. Seller will then make verbal contact with the veterinarian before replacing the kitten. All veterinary care and associated costs are the responsibility of the Buyer.
Seller agrees to have completed all of the age-appropriate vaccinations and wormings. A copy of the cat/kitten’s health record will be given to Buyer at the time of kitten pick up. Seller acknowledges that cat/kitten has no known disease, illness, congenital or hereditary condition that adversely affects the health of the cat/kitten at the time of sale and has been released by Seller’s veterinarian as being in good health. Viruses, colds, upper respiratory infections (URI’s), parasites or bacterial infections are not covered under this guarantee as they may be contracted after leaving the cattery and are not a result of genetics or breeding. ALL VET BILLS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER.
This kitten was wormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks old. This kitten had its first set of vaccinations on _________ and is due the second set of vaccinations on ________. Some breeders feel that Ragdolls are sensitive to vaccines and that ragdolls should online receive “killed virus” or “modified live virus” vaccines and never “live virus” vaccines. Some breeders also believe that Ragdolls SHOULD NOT RECEIVE THE RABIES VACCINE AT THE SAME TIME AS ANY OTHER VACCINE AS DEATH MAY OCCUR. There have been Ragdolls to die due to sensitivity to the rabies vaccine. If you decide to get your cat rabies vaccine, do not do it at the same time as other vaccines. Seller does not warranty the cat/kitten from any adverse reactions against future vaccinations. If you have a cat which you adopted (whether it be a stray or from a pet store or shelter), please be aware that these cats can be carriers of coronaviruses and/or feline leukemia - even if they show no symptoms. It is strongly suggested that your existing cats be tested and fully vaccinated prior to introducing them to a new kitten. A young kitten’s immune system has not fully developed and viruses can be transmitted to your new kitten possibly resulting in death.
Buyer agrees to have the kitten spayed or neutered prior to the kitten reaching 12 months of age. Breeding of a Rootin’ Tuten Ragdoll without purchasing breeding rights is strictly prohibited. Seller may elect to proceed with legal action if it is discovered that the Buyer is breeding a Rootin’ Tuten Ragdoll. All legal proceedings will take place within the State of the Seller’s residence, Coffee County, TN.
Seller makes no guarantees as to personality, size, coat, or eye color. This can not be 100% determined without having a genetic coat color test done on each kitten. Allergies are not covered under this Contract. If Buyer cannot keep the kitten/cat for any reason, no refund or replacement will be given. Seller will assist in helping to place the kitten/cat but under no circumstances can we take the kitten/cat back as we maintain a strictly closed cattery and cannot re-introduce a cat/kitten back into our home once it has left due to the threat of exposure to viruses, parasites, fleas, etc. the health guarantee is not transferable. If the kitten is sold or given away, the health guarantee is void.
Buyer agrees that this kitten will be kept strictly indoors. Allowing your Rootin’ Tuten Ragdoll kitten outdoors where it may be exposed to diseases, fleas, ticks, parasites, voids the health guarantee. Declaw procedure of any kind is strongly discouraged and may result in other unwanted behaviors such as biting. Furthermore, declawing may cause arthritis. Declawing your Rootin’ Tuten Ragdoll will void the health guarantee. Kittens have been using sisal rope scratching posts and a similar scratching post should be made available to discourage unwanted scratching of furniture, carpet, etc.
This kitten has been weaned using Purina Kitten Chow Nurture Dry food AND Royal Canin Kitten Wet/Canned food. It is recommended that you feed the same or better quality food. Changing of food should be made in small transitions as an upset tummy can occur from a change in food/diet.
The kitten has been using Scoop Away multiple cats scoopable (clumping) litter. It is recommended that you start off using this same type of litter to avoid any future litter box issues.
